Painting Huge mural in Kirkham Town centre UK

Finally finished here is my latest mural painted with @seca_one for the @thebutterflyeffected_org Co- created with the local community, it is a visual tribute to Kirkham, celebrating its rich heritage, natural beauty, and its unwavering spirit. Inspired by medieval illuminated letters, the design centres around the letter 'K'. The vibrant colours beckon viewers from afar, inviting them to delve deeper into the layers of history and nature. The work is full of symbolism, referencing the towns industrial past and the Roman Fort that once existed. Magpies and a Robin signify both joy and renewal. The wild poppy is a heartfelt homage to the people from Kirkham who fought, who sacrificed and who are forever etched in the town's history. Flax flowers, the spool of cotton and the sail cloth held in the Blue Tits beak, pay tribute to the local textile industry . The foxglove, commonly found in the area, symbolises strength and resilience. While the oats pay homage to Kirkham's rich agricultural legacy. The red Roman pillar stands tall acting as the backbone of the mural, a reminder of the ancient civilizations that once tread this land. Its inclusion serves as a bridge between the past and the present. It has been commissioned by Kirkham Cultural Consortium, as part of Kirkham’s Historic England, HAZ, Cultural Programme in 2023. As part of," The Romans are back in Kirkham," a project including a community archaeology project and a heritage inspired lantern festival. The work has been planned and delivered by Positive Pacemakers CIC. @aylonomad9970 follow us on Instagram @aylo_nomad @seca_one

Our latest Mural in Akumal Mexico. Sands of time. Painted by myself @aylo_nomad and @seca_one

Our latest piece in Akumal Mexico. Sands of time. Painted by myself @aylo_nomad and @seca_one for @Akumal Arts Festival & Residency. “Sands of Time” A simple reminder that we have a responsibility. We need to take care of our planet and all the life it holds. It's about protecting, nurturing, and making better choices. We must realize that our actions affect the world around us, and if we're not careful, we might let it slip away… Since learning to dive just over a year ago i've gone from being completely terrified of what lays beneath the surface of the ocean to being fascinated by it. I now want to see more, learn more and do what i can to raise awareness of the beauty of ocean life and the fragility of its existence and the part us humans play in that. We are creating a print version of this from the oil painting we did as the design, which we hope to sell to help raise funds for organizations here in Akumal who actively help maintain the reefs and underwater environment. My hope is that sharing my experiences and painting elements of this amazing part of our planet I can help in a small way to preserve these beautiful creatures and contribute to the collective efforts of not letting this all fall through our fingers. #streetart #oceanpreservation #oilpainting #sealifepreservation #aylonomad #secaone #thebutterflyeffected #Akumal #marinelife #angelfish A big thank you to everyone who supported us on this mural and this amazing trip x

SPITTING FEATHERS FINAL Painted in Flint Michigan For @flintpublicart We wanted to capture the frustration and pain of bottled-up emotions and the release/peace that can be achieved by opening up and expressing, sharing and talking through your problems. Drawing inspiration from the British saying "spitting feathers" once known as a term for thirsty but in recent years adapted to mean frustration and anger. The mural isn't only about venting, it's about standing up for what you believe, finding your voice and making a difference. Giving silenced voices the volume they deserve. Talking about problems, fears and anxieties is therapeutic. It provides clarity, offers a fresh perspective, and most importantly reminds us that we are not alone in our battles. The white dove in the mural is a symbol of peace, it also represents hope. It is a message to everyone that there is light at the end of the tunnel, that peace is attainable and that it is okay to seek help, to talk and to have a voice. It's a reminder to be more understanding, to listen without judgement, to inspire others, and to offer support to those in need.
